Stasia Georges, who has over 13 years of experience as a school psychologist, offers comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, counseling, and consultation services. Her testing expertise centers around learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders. She is especially attuned to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners. In addition to evaluations, Stasia’s services include parent and child counseling and consultation, particularly around challenges related to behavior, anxiety, emotion regulation, school and family stress, and trauma. Stasia’s therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral, trauma-informed, and strength-based practices, and she is passionate about helping families feel empowered and understood.
Stasia currently practices under supervision as a resident in school psychology. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and her master’s and education specialist degrees in School Psychology from Radford University. Over the past several years, Stasia has worked as a school psychologist in several Virginia school districts, gaining a unique perspective on different educational systems and intervention approaches. She is highly experienced in guiding parents through the IEP and 504 process, offering both clinical clarity and educational advocacy.
Stasia lives in Glen Allen, Virginia, with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys live music, practicing hot yoga, cooking, and taking trips to the beach with her family.
